No image: 1979, Strikes in Lorraine against the closure of steelworks, the mines (see two other files), the government sends in riot police. We enjoy a quiet Sunday morning in Longwy. Bells ring, the smell of sulphur floats in the air.
In the empty parking lot below an administrative building, four policemen in full dress are playing tennis. A funny, " human " scene, the policemen have their pleasure, I have mine... I photograph.
But suddenly colleagues of the tennis players arrive fast from behind, invite me politely to accompany them to the cellar of the building - where they work - and ask me to open the back of camera. The film takes a flash of light. Since then, the image is in my head. In black and white...
