When I was there, the ruins of the bombed-out railway station Anhalter Bahnhof floating in a sea of heavy fog impressed me much more than the greyness of the Berlin wall. I didn’t have a camera on me then - my eyes did the shooting. And it is because of this foggy impression that I came back to Berlin in 1974. I never photographed the Anhalter Bahnhof until September, 2017. I’m waiting for the fog…
