Haiti shares the Island Hispaniola in the Caribbean with the Dominican Republic. On February 7th, 1986, Haiti rebels successfully overthrow " Baby Doc " Duvalier, its corrupt and bloodthirsty president and kick him out into exile. The Haitian society believes it will be able to breathe again...
In summer, Myr Muratet (who - at the time was a member of " the bar Floreal-photography” and I went over there to try to show what was really happening there. Our work was commissioned by the French Latin-American association, that then made an itinerant exhibition on our return.
